Pam Froemke
Artwork
submitted for bid
at our September 6, 2009 auction:

"Winter Sun Worship"
8"x10", Oil
Gallery Price: $270
"Many different creatures have played important parts in my life as companions and working partners. My art is an attempt to represent drama and motion through the expressive character of animals. I'm captivated by their honesty, form, nobility, and strength.
The mediums I use capture the realistic details that portray the mood of the animal, while giving the viewer a hint of its personality."
Pam Froemke has received recognition as an artist since her childhood in Fargo, North Dakota. Her class notes were always adorned with horses galloping all over the pages. She spent her high school and early college years completing work for solo shows in the Fargo area and numerous private commissions. After moving around the country and finally ending up in Fort Collins to study natural resources, equine science, and computer science, Pam is once again exploring new avenues for her art.
In addition to enjoying support from the vibrant Fort Collins-area arts community, she has studied with artists Jeanne Mackenzie, Patty André, and Margaret Jensen.
She now lives just north of Fort Collins and is a member of the Artists' Association of Northern Colorado, Thompson Valley Art League, and the Equine Art Guild. You can see her work at the Art on Mountain Gallery in Fort Collins and at her website (www.pamfroemke.com).
